Who we are

The Institute for Financial and Management Research in Chennai and in particular its Center for Development Finance (CDF) and Trust have collaborated with Prakti Design for over two years. A research contract wiht the CDF made possible the acquisition of part of our best-in-class lab equipement.

James Dougherty is an environmental attorney based in Washington, D.C.
Formerly the head of product testing for the environmental nonprofit GreenSeal, as well as a prosecutor for US-EPA., Mr. Dougherty has represented environmental organizations, Indian tribes and municipalities since the 1970s. He is now serving his third term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Sierra Club.

Evelyn Siu is a final year undergraduate student at U.C Berkeley where she studies business administration and global poverty. She has work experience as accounting associate and certified tax assistant. Evelyn volunteers for Prakti for the 2011/2012 year helping with financial statements, taxes, and several aspects of the venture's administration.

Suzanne Renard is a Master's student in at Ecole des Mines de Paris (ParisTech). Suzanne was a project manager and assisted with defining the business strategy. She is not only a gifted engineer, but she is one of the leading experts in analysis of social impact and social return on investment currently working in the sector.
