SkillMech has been Prakti Design's exclusive manufacturing partner since its inception. This trustful partnership brings in SkillMech's strong production expertise, diverse production technologies, and high quality control. Prakti enjoys their close location in Chennai, India that allows for quick prototyping and constant dialogue.
Institutional partners
The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves is a public-private initiative looking to help address indoor air pollution and improve livelihoods. Drawing support from diverse funders and partners it envisions the dissemination of 100 million stoves by 2020.

The World Food Program and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs have actively engaged in distributing improved cookstoves in Haiti. Prakti Design's staff has also provided expertise consultancy to these agencies in different countries.
Prakti Design staff had extensively consulted for the GIZ for its improved artisanal cookstoves project at the time of the venture inception. It continued until recently to sparsely provide consultancy services from its engineering and testing laboratory.

Major business schools such as IFMR in Chennai, India and ESSEC in Paris, France have engaged in research collaborations with Prakti Design over the last 3 years. Projects include access to clean energy technologies in rural India and social impact monitoring frameworks.
Implementation partners and distributors
Child Welfare Scheme (CWS) is a NGO that serves children and their communities in Nepal. It has been an incredible field partner, for field testing and providing continuous feedback on the LeoChimney stove as much as figuring out micro-financing schemes.
International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is an NGO that aims at improving energy access in East Africa and Haiti.ILF has distributed 2,200 Leo Charcoal stoves in urban camps and 500 Orka stoves in schools around Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The Paradigm Project leverages carbon credits to distribute improved cookstoves in various countries. It aims at distributing 5 million of its partners' stoves by 2020 and is currently piloting Prakti stoves in Kenya.
Selco is a recognized rural distributor with operations mainly in South India. It distributes appropriate technologies such as solar pannels and started distributing Prakti's Leo wood stoves in late 2009.
Third party testing partners
Aprovecho is a recognized leader in biomass cookstoves testing. All of Prakti Design's testing is done according to their standards and Aprovecho has certified most of our stoves.
The Berkeley Darfur Project is based at U.C Berkeley and provides third-party services to stoves manufacturers. In particular they issued an extensive comparison of charcoal stoves available globally that features the Leo Charcoal.

The EPA-USA, on behalf of the Partnership for Clean Indoor Air, and the US development agency have both tested our stoves in laboratory as well as field conditions.
